oak sideboard

This Arts & Crafts sideboard was inspired by an article in the 1994 Winter edition of Home Furniture. Quartersawn white oak was common in the Arts & Crafts style. In keeping with Gustav Stickley’s approach to finishing, this was fumed with ammonia and then varnished. The secondary wood is poplar for the drawers and runners with ebony pins and pulls from Horton Brasses.
